Rule 42-A person being possessed of any firearms under licence granted by the authority cannot be said to be an illegal possessor of arms- An offence under the Arms Act for such possession would not be deemed committed unless licence is validly cancelled following the provision of law- Unless he is asked to deposit and surrender the arms within certain time and he fails to deposit the arms within the time.
